By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE – The Delaware International Speedway has been busy over the winter months adding a new look to the 2015 schedule. Fans will get a taste of what is to come on Saturday night, April 11th with a “Tune and Test� Night. The event is free to all spectators on the spectator side.  Gates open at 5 p.m. with the “Tune & Test� from 6 p.m. Until 9 p.m.

New events for this season include: the Monster Crush Off sponsored by The Metal Shop as part of the William J. & Juanita Cathell Memoral Night on April 25th; multiple Shoot-Outs consisting of five lap dashes between the NAPA Big Block feature winner and the S.R. Pete & Sons Super Late Model winner; St. Jude’s Charity Night sponsored by K&B Auto Sales on May 9th; “The Showdown� 30 lap feature putting 12 Big Block Modifieds against 12 Super Late Models for $3000 to win on June 6th; the TUSA Foundation 20 laps feature for Mod Lites on July 18th;  the return of the United Racing Club Sprint Cars on August 29th and weekly “Bad Boyz Tug on the Shore� during intermission featuring fans’ two wheel and four wheel drive street trucks.

There will be three huge mid-week events at the speedway this season starting with the 43rd Annual Camp Barnes benefit on Tuesday night, June 23rd. Back after a 10 year absence will be the “Diamond State 50� Short Track Super Series Southern Regional for Modifieds on Tuesday night August 4th. The World of Outlaw Late Models return on Thursday night, August 13th for the “Fulton Bank 50�.

The season opener on April 18th. will be “Town of Delmar Night� in tribute to the town “too big for one state� that has played host to the racing facility since 1963. Any fan with a picture I.D. with a Delmar, Del. or a Delmar, Md. address will be admitted to the spectator side for free. And as always, all children 13 and under are admitted free to the spectator side when accompanied by an adult. The night will feature the NAPA Big Block Modifieds, S.R. Pete & Sons Super Late Models, Crate Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, Mod Lites and Vintage Cars.
