FOUR IN A ROW FOR WILLS IN MOD LITES
Nick Nash jumped out to the early lead in the 15-lap Mod Lite feature. Jake Nelson held the second spot while James Hill worked by Alan Passwaters for third. On lap three, Jimmy Wills shot from fourth to second. At halfway the top five were Nash, Wills, Hill, Passwaters and Mike Stratton.
Nash would get around in the second turn to bring out the first caution on lap nine. Wills was now on top with Hill second. Wills opened a comfortable lead and drove to his fourth straight win and his sixth overall. Hill would hold off the late race challenge of teammate Tim White to finish in second and third. Fourth went to Ray Gulliver and Passwaters rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Gulliver and Wills.
