BEAU WILKINS AT THE RIGHT PLACE FOR SECOND WIN IN NAPA BIG BLOCK MODIFIEDS
By CHARLIE BROWN, DELMAR, DE – Beau  Wilkins steadily worked his way from his eighth starting spot and was at the right place at the right time to take the lead and go on to post his second win of the season in the Pepsi sponsored 25-lap NAPA Big Block Modified feature, Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway.
Shawn Ward continues to impress as he lead in the early going of the main. Matt Hawkins charged from fourth to second by lap four as Wilkins worked into fourth behind Brad Trice. Hawkins went wheel to wheel with Ward for several laps before Wilkins took second in a good three car battle. Hawkins would lose the handle in the second turn spinning and bringing out the yellow.
On the restart Jordan Watkins jumped up to second but got into the back of Ward going into the first turn resulting in both cars spinning to a stop. Wilkins was the new leader and took full advantage of the break. H.J. Bunting powered by Trice into second and with five to go was pressuring Wilkins for the lead. Wilkins turned up the wick and opened his lead driving to his second checkered of the year. Bunting would hold off Matt Jester for second and third with Jamie Mills fourth and Trice fifth. Heats were won by Ward and Mills.
