STACI WARRINGTON ENDS DROUGHT IN SUPER LATES
The 20-lap Super Late Model feature produced yet another new winner this season. Staci Warrington started on the pole and immediately settled in to the middle groove. Last week’s winner, Nick Davis followed a close second while Andrew Mullins worked by Joe Warren for third.
Austin Hubbard’s night ended prematurely when he slowed to a stop on the back straight with driveline problems. Warrington went back to setting the pace ahead of Davis as Donald Lingo, Jr. worked into third. By halfway the top five were Warrington, Davis, Lingo, Jr., Ricky Elliott and Mullins.
The second and final caution would fly with six to go for a spin giving the front one more shot at unseating Warrington. That was not to be as Warrington would drive a flawless final five laps to post her first win in over a year. Davis, Lingo, Jr., Elliott and Mullins would round out the top five. Heats were won by Davis and Warren.
Super Late Model Finish: 1. Staci Warrington; 2. Nick Davis; 3. Donald Lingo, Jr.; 4. Ricky Elliott; 5. Andrew Mullins; 6. Kerry King; 7. Joe Warren; 8. Bob Geiger; 9. Austin Hubbard.
