MATT HILL WINS 2ND STRAIGHT IN CRATE MODELS
In the 15-lap Crate Model feature the caution was out before the first lap was complete for a three car tangle in the third turn. This turned out to be a blessing for Matt Hill who had gotten crossed up on the initial start and lost several spots but with the complete restart was back in his third starting spot. Robbie Walls, Jr. would lead the first three laps before Hill shot by on the outside for the lead.
Once out front Hill was able to pull away. The race would go caution free the rest of the distance with Walls, Jr. holding on to second. Mike Wharton held the third spot with Sparky White in fourth and Eric Vent, climbing from ninth to fifth. The order would remain unchanged to the checkered with Hill posting his second straight victory. Rounding out the top five were Walls, Jr., Wharton, White and Vent. Heats were won by Hill and Vent.
