RAIN WASHES OUT WILLIAM J. & JUANITA CATHELL MEMORIAL
By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE - Rain started to fall midway through the qualifying heats Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway. After a short downpour track crews went to work and after about an hour had the surface back in shape. Just as the cars were brought back to resume qualifying a steady rain once again began to fall bringing an early end to the William J. & Juanita Cathell Memorial.
The Memorial will be rescheduled at a later date. Rain checks will be honored on Saturday nights for up to four weeks from tonight's race. This Saturday night, May 3rd. will be "Twin 20's" for the NAPA Big Block Modifieds plus the Super Late Models, Crate Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds and the Mod Lites.
