ROBBIE WALLS, JR. GETS CAREER 1ST IN CRATE MODELS

Robbie Walls, Jr. and Reese Masiello captured the Crate Model heats and with the zero inversion draw started one/two in the 20-lap Fall Championship qualifier. The first three laps were smooth with Robbie Walls, Jr. out front and Joe Warren challenging from second but the one and only caution would fly when Tyler Reed got around in the fourth turn.

Walls, Jr. was smooth on the restart and held the lead with Warren hounding him in second. The battle was in the top five as Eric Vent and Matt Hill got by Reese Masiello who was running in third. Hill got up to second but by halfway had been shuffled out of the top five with Sparky White up to third.

With five to go the leaders were in traffic. Warren made a bid under Walls, Jr. but couldn’t make the pass. Walls, Jr. held on for his first career win and earned a guaranteed starting spot for the Fall Championship. Warren finished a car length back in second with Sparky White third. Fourth went to Masiello and Vent rounded out the top five.
