STRATTON GETS 2ND CAMP BARNES VICTORY 10 YEARS LATER

The eight car inversion draw put Nick Nash on the point for the 15-lap Mod Lite feature. Nash led the first four laps before Mike Stratton, who had won the first heat and started in eighth, took the lead. Jimmy Wills was back in action and one lap later moved into the second spot with Tim White climbing to third.

Wills tried but was unable to dislodge Stratton. With one to go Wills pulled to the infield with problems and Stratton drove to his seventh win of the year and his third straight. It has been ten years since Stratton had last won the Camp Barnes event. White finished in the second spot with Nick Sapp making a late race charge to finish in third. Fourth went to Nash and Ray Gulliver rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Stratton and James Hill.
