DONALD LINGO, JR. COLLECTS $700 BOUNTY EDGING ELLIOTT IN SECOND TWIN 20

Ricky Elliott got to draw for the inversion for the second 20 lap feature while in victory lane. To the groans of the crowd Elliott drew the number zero which put him on the pole. With the heads-up start from the first 20 lap finish, Donald Lingo, Jr. would start in second and was able to keep pace with Elliott at the drop of the green.

By lap eight, Lingo was drawing even in the turns using the high groove. One lap later he got a good run off the top of the second turn and took the lead. Lingo would open about a six car length advantage but with five to go, Elliott began to close the gap.

Elliott got within a couple of car lengths but Lingo would make no mistakes as he captured his first win of the season and collected the $700 bounty posted by the track. Elliott finished seven tenths of a second back in second with Brandon Dennis running the entire distance and finishing in third. Fourth went to David Hill and Staci Warrington rounded out the top five.

“I have a lot of respect for Elliott, said Lingo in victory lane. “I started out on the bottom and he moved down there too. When I went to the top I found some bite and was able to drive around him. Lingo 1
