JOE WARREN TAKE CRATE MODEL CHECKERED

Former champion Joe Warren got off to the good start in the 15-lap Street Modified main. Matt Hill chased from second with Sparky White in third. Derek Magee was on a charge from the drop of the green and came through the pack to fifth by lap five.

 

A series of caution flags kept the field tightly bunched. With six to go Hill slowed and headed for the pits moving White into the runner-up spot. Tyler Reed drove into the third spot bringing Magee with him in fourth. A final yellow would bunch the field for a two lap shoot-out. Warren got a great restart and drove to the win with White settling for second. Magee got by Reed on the final lap to take third with Reed fourth and Eric Vent coming on strong in the late stages to finish in fifth. Heats were won by Michael Given and Kellie Lewis.
