JOHN CURTIS WINS AC DELCO QUALIFIER

The 20-lap AC Delco PSC Modified Fall Championship qualifier was a caution filled event. John Curtis started on the pole with Cameron Bellinger holding down second. Tim Trimble settled into the third spot with Chad Clark running fourth and Joe Tracy fifth. Jordan Watson got by Tracy just before the halfway sign to crack the top five.

Watson began to pick his way through the top five taking fourth from Clark on lap 13 then third from Trimble on lap 15. The yellow was out one lap later when Bellinger lost control on the high side and spun while running in second.

Watson was now in second and was looking to keep his season win streak perfect. Curtis would turn out to be the spoiler as he picked up the pace and held off Watson to post his first win of the year. Watson would have to settle for second with Chad Clark getting by Trimble in the closing laps to finish in third. Brad Roberts, making his first start of the year came from mid pack to finish in fifth. Heats were won by Bryan Brasure, Danny Smack and Trimble.
