MIKE STRATTON GETS FIRST WIN IN NINE YEARS IN MOD LITES

The Mod Lite 15-lap feature took four attempts before the first lap was in the books and when it was, Landis Musser was the leader and Mike Stratton, who started in sixth, was running in second. James Hill quickly worked into second on lap three. At the halfway sign the top five were Stratton, Hill, Landis  Musser, Nick Sapp and Jason Musser.

Hill kept the pressure on until two laps to go when he spun in the fourth turn. It was Sapp’s turn now to challenge Stratton but he was up for the test and drove the Jack Vammino/Pro to his first win since the summer of 2004. Sapp finished in the second spot with Landis Musser third. Hill charged from the rear to finish in fourth and Jason Musser rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Stratton and Hill.
