RICKY ELLIOTT GETS 2ND WIN IN DELAWARE LATE MODELS

Ricky Elliott worked his way from his seventh starting spot to take the lead at the halfway sign and drive to his second win in three weeks in the 20-lap R.C. Holloway sponsored Super Late Model feature.

Kerry King, Jr. started on the pole and led the first lap before David Pettyjohn moved on top. David Hill followed into the second spot and immediately began to pressure Pettyjohn for the lead. Mark Byram held the third spot until lap for when Elliott shot by in the low groove.

Cautions on laps seven and eight kept the field closely bunched. On the lap eight caution Pettyjohn headed to the pits with a flat tire that was the result of contact on the previous restart. Hill was the new leader but only for lap nine and Elliott moved to the top at the halfway sign.

Elliott began to pull away from the field as Hill and Byram diced for second and King, Jr. and his father, Kerry King battled for fourth. The final yellow would come out with four to go as Nick Davis got around.

Once again, Elliott was able to power away as Byram grabbed second from Hill. At the checkered the top three were Elliott, Byram, and Hill. Donald Lingo, Jr. came out on top of a late race battle with Kerry King to finish in fourth with King fifth. Heats were won by Richard Jarvis, Jr. and Staci Warrington.
