RANDY WEST SCORES SECOND RISLONE URC WIN OF 2011, LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE
Randy West of Boyertown, PA was the class of the field on Taylor & Messick Night Saturday at the Delaware International Speedway, winning the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint feature event. West won his heat race and earned him the pole position in the main event.  Seven time URC Champion Curt Michael won the second heat and started outside pole.    Randy West, driving the Fred Kennedy owned sprinter ran to hide from the rest of the field and was never challenged in the feature that ran off non-stop. West earned $2,000 for the win, his second of the season and fifth career.
West and Curt Michael made-up the front row in the feature event and at the drop of the green flag, West immediately took control and established himself as the man the beat.  Curt Michael maintained the second position and Kramer Williamson and Tim Hogue battled for third with Williamson earning the spot on lap five.  At the front of the pack, West was quickly putting some distance between himself, Michael and Williamson.   By lap ten, Robbie Stillwaggon was racing in fourth and at the same time, "the Wild Child" Josh Weller was also heading to the front of the pack.
At the halfway point of the race, West had pretty much checked out, driving through the lapped traffic flawlessly.  Michael followed in second with Williamson third, Stillwaggon fourth and Tim Hogue making a strong run in fifth.
The race continued non-stop and West extended his lead with each lap.  Josh Weller broke into the top five on lap nineteen and began to reel in the leaders.  West continued to set a blistering pace and literally ran to hide from the rest of the field.  Even in the closing five laps, West never was challenged for the win.
With the checker flag waiving, Randy West took the win over Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson, Robbie Stillwaggon and Josh Weller.
