BRANDON BLADES GETS FIRST WIN OF SEASON IN AC DELCO MODS

Brandon Blades started on the pole and led wire to wire to win his first feature of the season in the AC Delco TSS Modifieds. It was far from being an easy win as defending point champion, Joseph Tracy and rookie Trent Willey challenged him the entire distance.

 

The lead trio ran in tight formation throughout the first half of the 15-lap feature with Scott Baker closing in fourth and Tyler Reed in fifth. The one and only caution of the race came on lap seven when Jamie Eichholz slowed to a stop on the front straight.

 

On the restart John Curtis moved into the top five. Tracy would try multiple grooves to try to gain the advantage on Blades but it was to no avail. Blades took the checkered with Tracy just .429 seconds behind in second and rookie Trent Willey only .759 seconds behind the leader in third. Fourth went to Baker and Curtis rounded out the top five.
