TYLER REED SCORES FIRST WIN OF SEASON IN CRATE MODELS

Defending point champion, Tyler Reed finally got the monkey off his back as he scored his first win of the season in the 15-lap Crate Model feature. Reed started in the third spot but used the outside line to take the lead by lap one with Chris Hitchens running second and Clint Chalabala in third.

 

By halfway, Chalabala had worked his way into second with Hitchens holding third. Joe Warren ran in the fourth spot and Dylan Evans was making a march up through the field in fifth.

 

Reed remained smooth in the lead while Evans worked his way up to third. Chalabala was just waiting for a mistake but Reed wouldn’t make one as he drove his Green Turtle No. 44 to victory. Chalabala finished a close second with Evans third. John Imler made a last lap charge to finish in the fourth spot and Warren rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Evans.
