14 YEAR OLD DYLAN EVANS GETS 1ST CAREER WIN IN CRATE MODELS

Showing the skill and confidence of a wily veteran, 14 year old Dylan Evans took the lead on the first lap of the 15-lap Crate Model feature and held off three time division champion, Joe Warren to post his first career win.

Rob Bragg led through the first two turns but grazed the wall down the back straight. This set off a chain reaction the reverberated back through the field ending in an eight car tangle in the third turn.

On the restart, defending track champion, Tyler Reed caught a tire going into the first turn and did a double barrel roll ending up on his wheels. Reed was uninjured but done for the night. Warren chased Evans on the restart with Clay Tatman getting by Gus Economides for third.

The final four laps were run under the green and Evans was flawless as he cruised under his first checkered. Warren finished in the second spot with Tapman posting a personal best in third. Sparky White came from 13th to finish in fourth and Roy Hassler scored his personal best in fifth. Fast time in qualifying was set by Matt Hill.
