KELLER CAPITOLIZES ON DAHL'S MISFORTUNE
In the final feature of the event, pole sitter, Marcus Tomlinson led early in the IMCA Modified feature. An early caution reset the field and on the restart, second place Chris Tuchscherer challenged Tomlinson for the lead. Tuchscherer then had his hands full with a speedy Jeremy Keller. As Tomlinson started to pull away, Tuchscherer and Keller raced hard for second. On lap 10, Keller slipped by Tuchscherer for second and quickly started to reel in Tomlinson for the lead. They briefly battled side by side for the lead until Keller claimed the top spot with 10 laps to go. Tomlinson then felt pressure from behind from points leader, Mark Dahl. Dahl slipped into the second position and was starting to close in on Keller when his iconic all black race car with orange flames went up in a cloud of smoke. Dahl’s night ended early as his engine expired seven laps short of the finish. On the final restart, Shawn Strand passed Tomlinson for second and challenged Keller for the win. But when the checkered flag waved, Jeremy Keller held off Shawn Strand for the victory. Jason Wolla made a last lap pass to finish third ahead of Chris Tuchcherer and Marlyn Seidler. Keller's victory helped the Bismarck driver grab the points lead from Mark Dahl.
