CHEMUNG SPEEDROME UP NEXT FOR RACE OF CHAMPIONS “FAMILY OF SERIES” WITH TRIBUTE TO ED MCGUIRE 51’S THIS SATURDAY, JULY 19
July 13, 2025 – The Race of Champions “Family of Series” heads to Chemung Speedrome this Saturday, July 19 for the running of the Tribute to Ed McGuire 51’s, headlined by the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series in a 51-lap showdown at one of the Northeast’s most storied short tracks.
Jake Christman of Walnutport, PA, the defending event winner, will look to repeat at the Southern Tier oval.
“Chemung is a challenging track for us,” stated Christman. “But we’re up for the challenge and looking forward to it. It’s a great place to race, the fans are always into it, and we know repeating won’t be easy — but we’ll give it everything we’ve got.”
Every event in the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series plays a key role in the season-long championship chase, and Chemung is no exception. With a format where “Every Lap Counts,” drivers must deliver consistent performance from the drop of the green to the checkered flag. Andrew Lewis, Jr. currently leads the championship standings.
Joining the Sportsman Modifieds on Saturday’s card will be the Race of Champions Super Stock Series and the Race of Champions FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series, both featuring full feature events.
