For Immediate Release
The Eighth Annual Super Stock Showdown is up next at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) on Saturday along with weekly points racing for B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and Midwest Mods.
The race features a healthy $2,500-to-winner’s take for the 30-lap main event. Drivers will compete in heat races and a B-Main if necessary to set the 24-car field for the finale. Super Stocks will not earn track points; however, POWRi points will be awarded for competitors in the class. All other classes will compete for normal purse and points.
Super Stocks have a $75 entry fee for Super Stock drivers who have competed at CMS this season PRIOR to this event. The entry fee for drivers not meeting this criteria is $90. The entry fee includes the driver pit pass and event entry. All other pit passes are $40 regardless of age.

We welcome any and all visiting drivers thinking about making the trip to CMS to compete this weekend; however, we VERY STRONGLY ENCOURAGE visitors to familiarize themselves with the track's general race rules, which may be found at www.centralmissourispeedway.net under the RULES/FORMS link. All drivers should note that any pit crew wishing to go to the infield hot pit area MUST WEAR a brightly colored safety vest, no exceptions.
On Saturday, pit gates officially open at 4:30, followed by grandstand admissions at 5. The driver’s pill draw cutoff to earn passing points is 6:15 (no passing points awarded if the driver is late checking in). The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, followed by practice hot laps at 7:00, with racing to follow at approximately 7:30.
SPECIAL EVENT ADMISSION INFO: General Admission - $20, Seniors 65 and Over - $15, Student w/I.D. - $15, Active-Duty Military w/I.D. - $15, Kids Aged 6 to 12 - $6, Permanently Confined to Wheelchair – Free in Grandstands.
The annual Kid’s Night is fast-approaching and event organizer Ashley Walls has established an Amazon.com wish list, which will make it easier on drivers, fans, and businesses who would like to make donations. Kid’s Night is always one of the most anticipated nights of the year as the event honors young race fans 12 and under and gives them a chance to compete in foot races on the track in girls and boys divisions.
