(Warrensburg, Missouri) The heavy air felt like it was a hot August night, but the drivers were the ones who felt the heat with a fast-moving race program as Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) officials worked diligently to stay ahead of surrounding weather. Thanks to the cooperation of the race teams, the entire program was completed within two hours and 45 minutes.

Capturing Cliff Harris Warrensburg Ford race night wins were, Terry Schultz in B-Mods, Aaron Poe in POWRi Super Stocks, Tyler Johnson in POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints, Cameron Kelly in Pure Stocks, and Shawn Burns in POWRi Midwest Mods. A synopsis of the night’s action and race results are included here.

Prior to the events beginning, the car of Pure Stock driver Derek Scott was drove around the track in a memorial lap and moment of silence followed by the carrying of the flag for the National Anthem. Scott was tragically killed on Friday. His cousin drove the car in heat-race competition in honor of the fallen racer as the racing family played homage to the racer and his family with tributes and memorials. Central Missouri Speedway wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Scott’s family, friends, and loved ones.
