For Immediate Release

(Warrensburg, Missouri) The Third Annual Late Model Rumble at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) takes place on Saturday featuring the Malvern Bank SLMR Late Models plus weekly racing in all classes. This event, presented by our good friends at Seeburg Muffler will feature full programs by the SLMR touring drivers plus weekly race divisions, including B-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midwest (E) Mods.

Former track champion Aaron Marrant captured an upset victory in this event two years ago while last year’s SLMR event winner was Chad Holladay. So far this season in SLMR action Tad Pospisil claimed the main event victory and currently leads the standings heading into this weekend’s action, which also features Friday racing at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. Corey Zeitner, Bill Leighton, Jesse Sobbing, and Justin Zeitner also ran strong in the series opening event.

Saturday’s Timeline: Pit gates opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5, pill draw cutoff for drivers 6:15 (no passing points awarded if late check-in), pit meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30 or after hot laps.

The planned running order for Saturday will be Midwest (E) Mods, Pure Stocks, SLMR Late Models, POWRi Super Stocks, and B-Mods. Please note, this is subject to change. Mention of driver name does not guarantee race appearance.

Admission Details: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 74 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under free, seniors 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. All pit passes are $35 regardless of age.

Drivers may print the registration form from the CMS website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net, from here, select DRIVERS and then TRACK REGISTRATION FORM. For POWRi Super Stock and Midwestern Mods (E-Mods) drivers, the POWRi national points fun registration is found at www.powri.com/rules. CMS registration forms should be brought to the track completed and filled out. Registration for the season is $60 per class driver competes in.

Central Missouri Speedway is currently seeking employees for the concession’s areas on both sides of the track. Applicants may apply in person on Saturday at the track or by visiting the track’s Facebook page and completing an online application form or by calling Susan Walls at 816-229-1338, no calls after 8 p.m. please.

Drivers are highly encouraged to thoroughly read and understand the track’s general rules and guidelines, which are located at www.centralmissourispeedway.net/images/pdfs/2022GeneralRules.pdf, this especially important for new drivers to CMS who are not used to the fast-paced manner in which Earl Walls and the CMS crew enforce rules and run their race program.
