(Warrensburg, Missouri) Racing at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) resumes on Saturday, July 17th for Pepsi Night at the Races featuring A-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, B-Mods, and Pure Stocks competing in the NASCAR weekly championship series. This weekend’s action also included guest class the POWRi Lightning Sprints.

The championship standings are starting to reveal the top contenders in each of the weekly race divisions. For A-Mods, former champion Gunner Martin and Iowa driver Dennis Elliott have an intense battle brewing with Martin holding a slim two-point lead in the standings. Cody Frazon has a sizeable but not insurmountable lead over Aaron Poe in the POWRi Super Stocks by 54 markers. Over the years at CMS, Terry Schultz has multiple championships in several car classes apart from B-Mods; however, he currently has a 12-point advantage on multiple-time B-Mod champion Jacob Ebert. Spencer Reiff currently enjoys a 49-point lead ahead of Brian Cox in the Pure Stock ranks.

For this weekend, regular event pricing is in effect with NASCAR-licensed pit passes at $30 each, non-licensed $35, regardless of age. General Admission is $15 for Adults, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 72 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under are free, 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. Pit gates open at 4:30, followed by grandstand admissions at 5, driver pill draw cutoff at 6:15 (no passing points if driver is a late check-in), pit meeting held at 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing begins at 7:30 or at the conclusion of hot laps.
