(Warrensburg, Missouri) The NASCAR Weekly Race Series drivers return to competition on Saturday at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) for another night of racing in A-Mods, Super Stocks, B-mods, and Pure Stocks. KMZU 100.7 FM ‘The Farm’ presents this week’s action.

Heading into this week’s competition, a quick peak at the series standings shows long-distance traveler, Dennis Elliott, of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, leading the way in A-Mod competition. Elliott picked up his first-ever CMS main event victory a couple of weeks ago and has put together strong finishes in all three events held so far this season. Kevin Blackburn, Gunner Martin, Darron Fuqua, and Kameron Grindstaff currently set in second through fifth overall. So far, in three main events, three different drivers, Matt Johnson, Elliott, and Martin, have collected victories.

In POWRi Super Stock action, strong car counts have led to some fierce competition so far this season. Cody Frazon of Warrensburg collected the last victory just two weeks ago and finds himself atop the standing just ahead of Ted Welschmeyer. A pair of former champions sit in third and fourth respectively with Marc Carter and Brett Wood in the mix while Jay Prevete sits fifth. In three main events held so far, three different drivers have collected wins, the list includes Frazon, Prevete, and Derek Henson.

A familiar face leads the B-Mod contingent with Jacob Ebert having already collected two wins in three outings. Ebert lads the standings over Terry Schultz, the only other driver in the division to record a victory so far. Doug Wetzel, Don Marrs, and Sebastian Wolfenbarger fill out the top five. Ebert and Schultz are highly favored to take their battle for the championship deep into the season.

So far in the 2021 season, the best average car counts per week of 20 belongs to the Pure Stock division. Jason Ryun of Kansas City leads fellow Kansas City driver Spencer Reiff in the overall standings as both men have collected victories so far, two for Ryun and one for Reiff. David Doelz of Warsaw is putting together a consistent season in third with Brian Cox and Jimmie Workman representing Concordia in fourth and fifth.
