USL set for Caney Valley Speedway Saturday
By John Rittenoure - CANEY, Kans. (July 16, 2025) - Saturday Caney Valley Speedway will host their first United Sprint League race of the season after rain stopped the April 26 race that was scheduled.
After losing the first seven shows to weather racing finally got underway last Saturday at Caney, despite a weather delay, and the weather is looking good for this weekends USL visit.
Two-time defending champion Johnny Kent sits on top of the points race but Tanner Conn is only 27 points behind in second. Lawton Speedway winner Ty Hulsey is close behind in third, while Ryker Pace and Tim Kent sit tied for fourth.
Last season Matt Sherrill picked up the USL victory at Caney leading hometown driver Andrew Deal and Johnny Kent to the checkered.
As usual drivers with USL perfect attendance will receive tow money. Heat race winners will also earn $100.
In addition Pure Stocks, Factory Stocks will be racing along with USRA AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories B-Mods racing for $1,000-to-win and $100-to-start.
Gates open at 4 p.m., Hot Laps at 6:30 and racing begins at 7.
2025 Winners: 3/22 - Steven Shebester, Red Dirt Raceway; 4/11 - Johnny Kent, Tulsa Speedway; 4/12 - Johnny Kent, Creek County Speedway; 4/25 - Tyler Edwards, Creek County Speedway; 6/14 - Ty Hulsey, Lawton Speedway.
