Belle-Clair Speedway’s 2016 Schedule Released

Millstadt, IL – The 2016 schedule for Belle-Clair Speedway has been released featuring 27 events. The season will begin with a Test N Tune on Saturday, March 12th before returning to running mainly Friday night events. Running a mix of racecars, Belle-Clair will again continue to host UMP Late Models, Modifieds, B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midgets and Micros, while adding Mod Lites/Dwarfs and the WAR Sprint Series. The Mod Lite/Dwarf division has been added to help out Doe Run.

2016 will officially kick off with the Shamrock 40 on Friday, March 18th paying $1500 to WIN for Late Models and $750 to WIN for Modifieds. This event will be ran in conjunction with Highland Speedway’s Lucky 40 event on Saturday, March 19th.

In addition to the Shamrock 40, Belle-Clair will be hosting fan favorite events including the Scott Credit Union Fan Appreciation Night, the Klein Klassic “28,” Scott Credit Union Military Night, UMP Summer Nationals, the TTG 100, Arnie Knepper Memorial, and the Charlene Meents Memorial. Belle-Clair will also host the Wednesday night portion of Illinois SPEED Week featuring POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets, POWRi Speedway Motors Micros, and POWRi Division II Midgets.

Bringing a new twist for 2016, Belle-Clair will host the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micros for a special two-day event during Memorial Day Weekend, deemed the Bull Ring Nationals. Also new to the schedule, Friday, April 15th will be the first appearance for the WAR Sprints during the Non-Wing Nationals. The WAR Series will return for the King of Non-Wing on Friday, July 8th.

2016 will wrap up with the Season Championship on Friday, September 2nd featuring UMP Late Models, Modifieds, B-Mods, Pure Stocks and Micros. The Belleville Bash and the Meents Memorial will run on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st hosting POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets and POWRi Speedway Motors Micros.
