Beatrice Spring Nationals rescheduled
By IMCA /Beatrice Speedway (Beatrice, NE) -- Top checks of $2,500 and berths on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot are at stake for IMCA Modifieds both nights of Beatrice Speedway’s rescheduled March 15 and 16 Spring Nationals.
The event has been postponed a week because of weather.
Both Friday and Saturday Modified main events pay a minimum of $250 to start and drivers are guaranteed $100 a night in tow money.
IMCA Late Models make their first Spring Nationals appearance, racing for $1,000 to win each night. Entry fee is $25 for each show; IMCA rules apply and will be enforced.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win and $100 to start while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vie for $500 to win with $75 paid to start each night.
Saturday’s Mach-1 Sport Compact feature pays $200 to win.
Weekend entry fees are $130 for Modifieds, $70 for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods and $50 for Hobby Stocks. One-day entry fees are $80 for Modifieds, $45 for Stock Cars and SportMods, and $35 for Hobby Stocks. Entry fee for Sport Compacts is $10.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and E3 Spark Plugs Nebraska State points will be awarded both nights for those divisions.
An open practice runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 for all divisions. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. on Friday. Pits open at 1:30 p.m. and racing starts at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Grandstand admission Friday and Saturday is $20 for adults and $5 for kids ages 10 and under. Pit passes are $10 on Thursday and $30 on Friday and Saturday.
