Rough Night at Bakersfield Speedway
Hey everyone - well we've had a few days to figure out what happened, but it doesn't really soften the blow. What started off as one of our best showings at Bakersfield ended pretty roughly when we experienced a steering lockup on a restart with 3 laps to go and put the car into the front straightaway wall. Up to that point we were running 7th and finally had the car working decent on the dry-slick of Oildale.
When the dust settled, we found ourselves with a 9th place finish which should move us into 6th place in the State points race. The next, and final, Western Racesaver show of 2019 is scheduled for September 28th at the Tulare Thunderbowl (one of my very favorite places to run), but it is unknown at this time of we will be able to make the show - we will keep everyone posted!
As always, I'd like to thank our lead sponsors; Stark Naked Enterprises, Lucas Oil, and TecSpec Constructors for all of their help and contributions. Of course a HUGE thank you to everyone on the team; Todd Walters, Dave Keyser, and Boyce Silva (rookie and new quad driver) for busting their butts on Saturday, and of course my wife, Tamara, for putting up with all of the mayhem of the season.
See you at the races!!!
