Wilson Taking Time for Family During Rare Weekend Off

Inside Line Promotions – BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 30, 2018) – Greg Wilson will enjoy a rare weekend off as the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is parked for Easter Weekend.
“It will be great to spend some time with family,” he said. “We’re so busy traveling up and down the road, working on the race cars and then going to races that whenever we have an opportunity to focus on family it’s a special time.”
It marks the final off-weekend of the season for Wilson, whose Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels sponsored team is scheduled to compete at least once a week for the next 31 weeks following the holiday.
Wilson raced last Saturday at Bakersfield Speedway, where he moved forward in both a heat race and the Last Chance Showdown.
“We made progress every time we hit the track,” he said. “We picked up several positions in the Last Chance Showdown and just missed transferring into the A Main by two positions. It was a slick track, which doesn’t seem to happen often in California. Those are the type of conditions we’ll see more in the Midwest and East so it was nice that we were able to make progress on that type of a track.”
The Ocean Outlaw Showdown at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif., was rained out last Friday.
The next World of Outlaws event is April 7 at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz., for the Arizona Desert Shootout.
