Super DIRTcar Series Highlights Special Events at Airborne in 2019
PLATTSBURGH – The Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds will highlight the special events for Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway in 2019.
This will be the third consecutive season that the series will take to the Airborne 4/10 mile. The event falls on “Canada Day” Monday, July 1, which should attract a number of fans and competitors from the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Additionally, the King of Dirt Sportsman Series will be in action.
Sprint car fans will be able to get their fix on June 8, when the Empire Super Sprints and Quebec Lightning Sprints invade Plattsburgh. The event is paired up with Mohawk International Raceway’s event the night before.
For the first time since the clay was put back down on the track, the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series will showcase their top drivers on August 20, with a rain date of August 21. The DIRTcar Sportsman Series will make two appearances this season, while the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series will stop just once. May 4 will be the first event for the Sportsman drivers and September 7 will be for both the Sportsman and Pro Stock teams.
Other series that will stop in Plattsburgh this season include the Farnham Ale & Lager Pro Stock Series, Can/Am Mod Lites and Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour.
Opening day will be a $2,000 to win 50-lap event for the 358-Modified division.
