Veteran Announcer Roby Helm Joins HTF Series as Lead Announcer as Series Seeks Additional Media Talent for Expanding Live Production Plans

MILTON, Fla. (Aug. 8) — The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series is pleased to announce the hiring of veteran race announcer and publicist Roby Helm as the lead announcer for the series beginning with the tour’s Aug. 23-24 doubleheader at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky.

Helm brings over 40 years of experience in motorsports announcing and public relations to the Hunt the Front team. His extensive background includes notable stints with the Hav-A-Tampa/UDTRA Dirt Late Model Series, the Hooters Pro Cup Series on pavement, and the Crate Racin’ USA tour. Helm's expertise and passion for the sport are expected to enhance the series' live coverage and bring an elevated experience to fans.

“I’m excited and proud to become part of the Hunt the Front team and to anchor their live coverage of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series,” said Helm. “I have had the opportunity to work with the HTF team on a couple of races in the past, and their professional team of management, production crew, and race officials is impressive and second to none.”

While prior commitments will prevent Helm from joining the series at its next race Aug. 17 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Ga., fans can look forward to hearing Helm call the action beginning with the Lake Cumberland Speedway event the following weekend and throughout the remainder of the tour’s 2024 season.

“We're excited to have Roby join our team as we continually work to improve the show that we bring to fans at racetracks across the Southeast and around the world on Hunt the Front TV,” said Joshua Joiner, General Manager of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. “Roby will no doubt be a great addition to our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his many years in the industry that will benefit our entire organization.”

The addition of Helm is part of a strategic expansion of the Hunt the Front tour’s live production crew. The series is also seeking another media personality to join the team to conduct driver interviews, provide pit reports, and join Helm in the booth on occasion.
