Don’t Miss This: “Run What You Brung” Set for Sunday at Bethel Motor Speedway

SWAN LAKE, NY – You don’t want to miss this one!

Unique. Wild. One-of-a-kind. The “Run What You Brung” returns to Bethel Motor Speedway this Sunday, Oct. 20 presented by Mobile Metals. The event offers a $2,500 top prize for 50 laps of racing around the quarter-mile paved oval.

The “Run What You Brung” is open to any racecar with a minimum wheelbase of 85 inches. All cars must pass pre-race safety tech.

Heat races and consolations – 8 laps in distance – will set the stage for the “Run What You Brung” headline event.

“The ‘Run What You Brung’ event for many years was a season highlight at Bethel under a variety of different management teams,” said event promoter Brett Deyo. “I think it will be a fun day of racing for racers and fans, bringing back some great memories.”

Joining the “Run What You Brung” program on Sunday are the Street Stocks (25 laps, $1,000 to win) and Four Cylinders (25 laps, $500 to win).

On Sunday, gates open at noon, with hot laps at 1:30 p.m. and racing at 2 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $20 (Adults). Kids 11 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $45 (ages 15 and up) and $20 for Children ages 14 and under.

Car registration fees are as follows: $50 for the “Run What You Brung” and $20 for Street Stocks and Four Cylinders. All registration will take place at the track.

On Saturday (Oct. 19), an Open Practice will take place at Bethel to set the stage for Sunday’s program. The pit gate opens at noon, with practice from 1-4 p.m. Pit admission is $30 (ages 15 and up) and $20 for Children ages 14 and under.

Lapped cars drop to the rear in the order they are running; first car off the lead lap at the time of a caution gets the ‘lap-down, go-around’

Street Stock Rules & Procedures – 25 laps, $1,000 to win

Present your home track rule book: Street Stock division only at an operating speedway. All cars will be subject to pre-race safety inspection. The event promotional team reserves the right to approve or deny any entry.

Street Stock Tire Rule (all cars): American Racer G60 or 970; Hoosier G60 or 970; Any DOT Tire
