Derek DeMartino Attains POWRi Vado 305 Wing Sprint Feature Victory

Belleville, IL. (6/26/22) Derek DeMartino would stand atop the competition in the tight POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado 305 Wing Sprint feature event, capturing his fourth career victory over a stout fifteen-car field at Vado Speedway Park in the “Hot City Nights –Hatch/Radium Springs/Garfield/Rincon/Truth or Consequences Night at the Races”.

Early on-track action would witness heat race victories from Vance Wofford and Mike Archuleta with Derek DeMartino and Archuleta lining up on the front row entering the twenty-five-lap feature event.

Blasting from the pole-starting spot, DeMartino would dominate in the feature event to gain his first feature win since 2019 in the Vado 305 Sprints as Dylan Harris would race from starting fourth to finishing runner-up with Vance Wofford running among the leaders to placing third.

Starting seventh, Royal Jones would maintain a solid showing to finish fourth as Rick Ziehl rounded out the top-five finishers at Vado Speedway Park with the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado Wing Sprints.

Witnessing the POWRi Jackson Compaction 305 Wing Sprints, Rancho Milagro USRA Modifieds, S.H. Automotive Pure Stocks, Hulsey Racing Legends, and the Johnstone Supply Super Trucks all competing on the finely prepared surfaces of Vado Speedway Park with the on-track action beginning at 7:30 PM.
