Redwood Acres Raceway Releases 2022 Schedule
Redwood Acres Raceway has finalized their schedule for the 2022 season. There are 10 races scheduled between the months of April through September and the lineup of events will be sure to please fans who visit Eureka’s 3/8-mile paved oval this year.
RAR’s 2022 schedule is action-packed with nearly every event featuring a touring series or special event. As always, the local contingent of late models, Legends, bombers, mini stocks and roadrunners will be in action throughout 2022.
The late models will be starting the season with a bang with the 100-lap Rotary Rhododendron 100 in the season opener on April 30. The event has a strong $10,000 purse which should draw many of the top late model racers in the region. On July 9, the late models will be in action for the Harper Motors Firecracker 100 which has become a mid-season staple over recent years. The late model division will end the season at the O’Reilly Fall Spectacular on September 24 with another 100-circuit event.
Redwood Acres Raceway will also be hosting several touring series events this season. The North State Modified Series has made regular stops at the Acres since the series’ inception and they will be making the trek to RAR twice in 2022 on June 4 and at the Fall Spectacular on September 24. The Upstate Bomber Series will also be returning to Redwood Acres Raceway two times in 2022 on July 9 and September 10.
The west coast’s top super late model drivers will be at RAR on August 13 as the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will be making its first Acres visit since 2016. The Gunslinger Sprint Cars will be making their long-awaited debut at Redwood Acres Raceway on July 30. That event coincides with the second annual Legends Of The Redwood Shootout which will feature a very strong field of Legends drivers from all over the west.
