Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels Back in Action with 21st Annual Iron-Man Classic at Atomic Speedway
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (September 17, 2024) – The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will make its final appearance of the 2024 racing season at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH with the running of the 21st Annual Iron-Man Classic on Saturday September 21. The event will pay $5,000 to win and $500 to start.
The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will be in competition at Atomic Speedway on Saturday September 21 in the 21st Annual Iron-Man Classic and will be featured in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance Parts, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $5,000 to win/$500 to start 21st Annual Iron-Man Classic Valvoline A-Main feature event. Joining the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels in racing action at Atomic Speedway for the 21st Annual Iron-Man Classic on Saturday September 21 will be the track’s Kryptonite Race Cars Open Wheel Modifieds, C&M Racing Equipment Sport Mods, and Holdren Construction IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars.
Activities at Atomic Speedway on Saturday September 21 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by practice and time trials at 6:00 p.m., with racing set to get underway at 7:00 p.m. For tickets and pre-sale tickets, visit: https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/3176/tickets/1414461.
The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Fronts/Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 and Hoosier NLMT 3; Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2, NLMT 3, and Hoosier NLMT 4 (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). The entry fee for this event is $50 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver that does not transfer from a B-Main will receive $75 tow money.
This will be the third visit of the 2024 racing season for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels to Atomic Speedway. Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, IN won the tour’s previous event at the track back on June 1 over Adam Stricker of Batavia, OH, Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, OH, Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH, and R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH, while Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, NC would win at the track on July 20 over R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH, Henry Hornsby III of Beckley, WV, Seth Daniels of Jackson, OH, and Caiden Black of New Concord, OH. Josh Rice of Crittenden, KY is the defending champion of the Iron-Man Classic event, winning the 2023 version of the race over Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, WV, Jesse Wisecarver of Zanesville, OH, Kirk Phillips of Ashland, KY, and R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH.
