11th-place finish with Spring Nationals at Tri-County

On Friday night, Ashton Winger invaded Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event. With time trials setting the grid for the $4,053-to-win A-Main, Winger posted the second fastest time in his group behind David Payne. Running into trouble near the halfway point of the feature, Ashton slowed on the track and headed into the infield pit area on lap 24. He was credited with an 11th-place finish.

Saturday night's Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event at Travelers Rest Speedway (Travelers Rest, S.C.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
