Alex Midkiff Masters Win in POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micros at Creek County Speedway
Belleville, IL. (10/11/23) Alex Midkiff would secure his second seasonal victory with the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro League presented by Engler Machine & Tool at Creek County Speedway after leading the final pair of laps in an action-packed caution-free Sooner State Showdown feature event.
Entering a stout field of POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro competitors, Tyler Kuykendall would clock overall hot lap quick-time with a 13.805-second lap as Kale Drake earned the heat racing victory as well as the night’s high-point qualifier accolade.
“This helps the points chase in the championship. I had to wait and figure out what Kale was doing to make the right move,” said feature winner Alex Midkiff in the Creek County Speedway victory lane ceremonies. Adding, “ Those last-minute changes made in the staging area worked out for the best.”
Securing the front for the feature in the final two revolutions, Alex Midkiff would claim his second career micro win in an intense and action-packed feature. Staying in the hunt for the front after leading the first eight laps Kale Drake would result in a runner-up finish from the starting pole spot as Tyler Kuykendall would finalize the podium placement from starting third with Tobias Midkiff finishing fourth in the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro League feature event at Creek County Speedway in the Sooner State Showdown.
