Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 20, 2016) – Jack Dover is scheduled to make his first trip to Rapid Speedway in approximately four years this weekend.
Dover will return to the 3/8-mile oval in Rock Rapids, Iowa, for the first time since 2012 this Friday with the GoMuddy.com National Sprint League 360 Tri-State Region.
“We were supposed to go there last year, but it ended up raining out,” he said. “I’m looking forward to heading back. We had a good car the last time there and moved forward every time we hit the track. I remember making the feature redraw and pulled the highest number so that was hard to overcome.”
Dover won a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour heat race after starting sixth to garner the most points following heat race competition during the event in July 2012. However, he pulled the No. 8 during the random redraw to start the feature on the outside of the fourth row. Dover then rallied to a fourth-place result.
“Jason Johnson won that night with Tony Bruce Jr. and Dustin Morgan also finishing ahead of me,” he said. “I think if we had drawn a better number we would have been in contention for the victory. Hopefully we’ll have the same speed and a little better luck drawing this Friday.”
Dover elected not to travel to 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., last weekend for a GoMuddy.com National Sprint League NCRA/NSL 360 Region event because of weather concerns.
