2016 starts off with a bang for Blackened Motorsports!!
Saturday night proved to be worth the work involved to get the wins rolling for 2016. The night started off rough as we missed hot laps in the midget due to failed pick ups on our ignition. The team rallied to get car running literally to roll up for the heat. Starting third row inside we were able to get the win in the 8 lap heat race. Starting on the pole of the sprint car heat also brought another heat race win for the night.
Lining up on the pole of the midget feature we held off an early charge from Mike Sosebee to go and win the 20 lap All Star Midget Feature. Climbing into the non-wing sprint to start third row inside for the feature. came on strong right out of the box to move into second behind pole sitter Chris Parkinson and ahead of eventual winner Taylor Walton. Walton was lightning fast on the bottom as he advanced past us and Parkinson. We found some moisture coming out of two on a late race restart to get past Parkinson for second but he would sneak by us at the flag to get us by a few inches!! We would settle for third! All in all a great night for Blackened Motorsports!! Thanks to everyone for the help and support! see Ya Soon!!
