Kyle Clark Settles Champ Sprint/RaceSaver Debate With Victory For Creek County Speedway Champ Sprint Division

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (June 29, 2019) The long-debated question of “who is faster?” was settled this past Saturday night at Creek County Speedway as Kyle Clark roared through the field from 14th to top the Sooner Sprint Showdown that pitted the local Champ Sprints against the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series of Oklahoma.

The $1,000 triumph for the driver of the Same Day Auto Repair No. 9$, the win is Clark’s third of the year at Creek County Speedway. A non-point event for the Champ Sprints, the win was all about the money and bragging rights.

Moving past Andy Shouse on Lap 16 for the lead, Clark was unchallenged the rest of the way, despite a trio of cautions before the race reached it’s 40 lap conclusion. Oklahoma City’s Tanner Conn snuck into the runner-up spot with Shouse slipping to third. Joe Wood, Jr. and Casey Wills completed the top five. The weekend breakdown saw 15 Champ Sprints and nine RaceSaver powered entries.

While the Sprint Cars were not racing for Championship Points, other classes on hand were with Chad Davis continuing his dominance over Creek County Speedway with a run from 12th to first. Joe Wright from seventh climbed to second with James Esmond from eighth to third. Ho Dean and Brandon Dean completed the top five.
