Galusha Continues Winning Streak, Partners With Champion Brands

NEWTON, Iowa – Since early August, Frank Galusha has been on a roll on the race track. After his three feature victories in three attempts in September, the Lincoln, Neb. driver has now stacked his win column to 12 over the course of the season.
The only time the wheels of the Stallard SST Chassis No. 12 hit the race track this month and left without taking the checkered flag was in heat race action at Washington (Kan.) Speedway with the Jayhusker Series on September 3. The series utilizes a two-heat format, and Galusha moved forward from fourth to finish second in his first race. In the second round, he won from third on the grid. His efforts earned him the pole position for the night’s main event. From the drop of the green, Galusha took control and used his new Competitive Performance engine’s power to score the triumph.
Rather than stay in Kansas for night two of the Washington Labor Day weekend doubleheader, Galusha headed off for central Iowa and the Stuart Speedway to compete in the “Kylie Hunter Memorial” event. Starting off his heat race from the third position, Galusha picked up where he left off the night before and earned the heat win. Starting the main event outside the front row, another flawless performance would ensue. Galusha swiped the lead when the green flag flew, and led every lap en route to victory.
Though out of racing action during the following week, Galusha began a new partnership with Champion Brands. “We look forward to an everlasting relationship and truly appreciate the efforts [Champion is] making to provide superior product,” Galusha said of the company. Galusha will be now utilizing Champion Oil to supply quality lubrication to engine components on his Competitive Performance Suzuki.
Though it’s hard to see what competitive advantage the new partnership delivered given Galusha’s prior accomplishments, the results from his first event using Champion Oil are even harder to argue. In an unsanctioned event supported by the Iowa Micro Sprint Series at Newton (Iowa) Kart Klub on Saturday, Galusha was the class of the field all night long. Again encountering a two-heat format, he blistered through his first heat from seventh to take the win. Starting pole position in heat two, Galusha again earned a win, and in turn earned the main event pole. A sweep of the night was completed when the No. 12 led wire-to-wire, earning Galusha’s third feature win in a seven-day span.
“Counting our blessings and enjoying the success when we can get it. We have been working hard in the FGR camp trying to build a successful race team and right now the effort has been paying off,” Galusha noted of their recent run of six wins in seven starts, broken only by a third-place finish at the end of August. He spoke of two other drivers also driving Stallard Chassis, saying “it's always great to win, but I am most proud of my team of SST's.” The trio started the feature race at Newton in the first three positions and came away with first-, third-, and fourth-place finishes.
Frank Galusha Racing would like to thank EMi, Stallard Chassis and Components, Speedway Motors, AFCO Performance Group, Competition Suspension Inc, Hoosier Racing Tire, Engler Machine and Tool, Competitive Performance, Cornhusker Chiropractic, Vahlco Wheels, Outlaw Wings, Champion Brands, Chalk Stix, BullyBrand Gear, Gary’s Auto Sales, Atomic Machine & Design, Proglide Coatings, and Twisted Dirt Custom Headers, as well as all of his family, friends, and fans for their continued support.
Galusha is next scheduled to be in action on September 17 at Sweet Springs (Mo.) Motorsports Complex in the No. 12 600cc micro sprint entry.
