Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team Sweeps Podium During World of Outlaws Late Models iRacing Event at Kokomo

Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (July 30, 2019) – The Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team enjoyed its best outing of the season on Monday at Kokomo Speedway, which hosted Round 6 of the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on iRacing.
Blake Matjoulis led the team to a sweep of the podium, capturing the top three positions during a stout performance to kick off the second half of the season.
“Woooo, baby, let’s go,” Matjoulis, who ranks third in the championship standings, exclaimed during an interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “It feels great seeing my teammates right behind me. It feels amazing.”
Blake Cannon earned a runner-up result, finishing 0.323 of a second behind the leader. He is fourth in the championship standings.
“This week was a really good rebound,” he said during an interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “I got beat on the restart. Nonetheless that was a heck of a race. It was a good, hard race and I’m glad that I came second and my teammates were first and third.”
Kendal Tucker, who started 12th, rounded out the podium with a third-place showing – 0.910 of a second out of the top spot. He remains on top of the championship standings.
“We got behind in qualifying and had some bad luck at the start of the heat,” he said during an interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “We really just had to get up on the wheel. To charge up through the field right there like we did and come home with a third, I’m pretty relieved with that.”
Adam Elby rounded out the team’s performance with a 15th-place result.
Round 7 is next Monday at Knoxville Raceway.
