Rain forces Outlaws, Dirt Oval @ Route 66 to cancel Chi-Town Showdown finale
By Kayla May, WOO Late Model Series PR (joliet, IL) -- Heavy overnight rain at the Dirt Oval @ Route 66 that has continued Saturday morning with severe weather expected to continue throughout the night has forced World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series officials together with track officials to cancel the final night of the Chi-Town Showdown.

Next up will be the World of Outlaws World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway Nov. 2-4. One night of preliminary action and two nights of racing set the stage for the season finale, which ultimately means the final two chances for drivers to sneak forward in the 2017 Championship Standings.
