Krug drives to runner-up finish at I80 Speedway
Josh Krug Racing – Omaha, Neb. (06/07/2019) Josh Krug secured his best finish of the 2019 season, with a second place run in Friday night's NASCAR Super Late Model A Feature at I-80 Speedway.
Krug started the evening off finishing second in his heat race after starting in fourth. The two spots Krug advanced allowed him to start Friday night’s A feature in third.
After falling back two spots early in the race, Krug found the correct grove on the track and settled into the second place spot.
Though Krug officially ran the fastest lap of Friday night’s feature, slight damage to the right rear tire prevented him from running down eventual race winner Corey Zeitner.
Friday night’s finish marks the teams fourth top ten finish of the season. The team now sits sixth in the NASCAR Super Late Model weekly points standings at I-80 Speedway.
Krug and the Dr. Vinyal, MyRacePass No. 4k will be back in action on Friday, June 14 at I-80 Speedway for NASCAR Weekly racing.
