Labor Day Spectacular Recap

What a weekend of fun filled racing. Has a blast and we hope everyone else did as well.
Friday night took the driver of the Lonestar 600's up Interstate 35 to Heart o' Texas Speedway to battle with the drivers of TOWR for the 2nd Annual Glen Stubblefield Memorial. 30 Winged 600's and 13 Restrictor's were in attendance. In the restrictor race Colby Stubblefield took the green flag and took off winning the chase to turn 1 and never looked back. Congrats to Colby on he victory at his grandfathers Memorial Race. For the Winged 600's Coltin Corbin started on the pole for this race and lead several laps only to be caught and overcome by Colby Stubblefield then soon after Joey Starnes would get by Colby for the lead. Soon after Kyle Jones would appear in the front runner picture and get by Joey in lap traffic. On the white flag lap to come for the checkers out of turn 4 Joey Starnes drives in a little to hard and collects Kyle Jones and they spin out. This also collects the 3rd place car of Colby Stubblefield. This puts Coltin Corbin sitting pretty for a green white checker. Congrats to Coltin Corbin for his victory.

Saturday took us back to a familiar track at Gator Motoplex for the 1st Annual Kevin Reid Memorial. 28 Non Wing 600's, 8 Restrictor's and 4 Jr Sprint's. The Jr Sprint race was one of the best races we have seen all year. Timothy Watson and Christopher Townsend battled for the lead till the end. The last 5 laps was a nail biter as they swapped the lead every corner every lap till the checker. Congrats to Timothy Watson on his victory. The restrictor's ran a good race as well. Isaiah Garcia jumped out for the lead early to find himself in the infield with problem's This left Trey Burke out front till the checkers flew. Congrats to Trey on his win. The non wing 600's was as well a fantastic race. Collin Traylor and Blake Moeller found themselves sitting on the front row after the redraw. Blake took the early lead and lead the entire race until Hunter Gengo decided he wanted his first win in his new car. Coming into turn 3 to take the white flag Hunter made a hole and got around Blake for the lead. Hunter would come out victorious. Hunter and his dad were a bit emotional winning this race since Kevin Reid was a mentor and friend. Congrats to Hunter on his win.

Sunday Gulf Coast Speedway got trumped by mother nature which lead us to decide at the last minute to make the run down I-10 to China Texas and run at Golden Triangle Raceway Park. 11 Non wing 600s and 5 Restrictors made the trip. Congrats to Jake Lucas and Isaiah Garcia on there wins.

Off next weekend but back at it again 9/19 at Bronco Raceway Park where we will be joined by the Midgets and Non Wing 305's cant wait.
