POWRi National Lightning Sprint Division
Belleville, IL. (4/24/22) Hitting the stride of the division’s first season of a National Points Championship, the POWRi Lightning Sprints has seen opening action across the country for two of the four premier series of the Midwest, Minn-Kota, Rocky Mountain, and Southwest as racing dates start to add to an exciting yearly schedule.
Action from the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints would travel to Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri for the second contest of their yearly agenda on Saturday, April 23 with eight entries checking into the event. Tom Brown would earn high honors of the evening by first clinching the heat racing win and then doubling down on winning to solidify his fifteenth POWRi MLS feature victory since 2016.

Racing from the POWRi Southwest Lightning Sprints would travel to Imperial Valley Speedway on Saturday, April 23rd would see young talent Braden Chiaramonte claim his second career POWRi SWLS feature victory and first of 2022. Dalton Sexton and Wyatt Boczanowski would each win their respective heat race with Cody Griggs gaining the hard charger award for the feature event.

Members competing will earn points based on a sliding scale system, as 15-entries are considered a full field and receive full points, with the best fifteen performances throughout the March 1st to October 31st season judged in the yearly points chase. The highest points earner from the season will gain the honor as the Inaugural POWRi Lightning Sprint National Points Champion presented by Henchcraft Chassis Canada.
