Stanley Kreisel Snags Sixth Series Win on the POWRi MLS Season
Belleville, IL. (08/24/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints were back in racing action their home track facility of I-35 Speedway this past Saturday night. Providing a tricky-track for competitors to maneuver around, hard-charging efforts by series front-runner would impress spectators all evening. After all the action and the final checkers were shown Stanley Kreisel would not only gain the feature win but also climb atop the series season standings.
Witnessing great heat race action with #51 Mark Billings and #10 Chasity Younger claiming wins, the feature lineup would see an extra-invert setting up for spectacular in-traffic competition. Previous week’s winner Stanley Kreisel #18 would be a man on a mission throughout the event, picking off positions seemingly at will, Kreisel would fly to the front from a tenth starting spot to claim the night’s feature victory. Not to be outdone, heat-race winner Mark Billings would also have his hands full with other competitors, driving his hot-rod to finish in the runner-up position from starting twelfth and earning the hard charger award. Danny Johnson #51x, who started ninth, and the heavy foot of Brandon Smith #11 would battle wing-to-wing for several laps with Johnson placing third and Smith notching the fourth placement. Jeff Bard #71 continues his streak of consistency by rounding out the feature’s top five finishers.
