NOW600 SAFETY RULE UPDATE

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (June 6, 2024) - Officials with the National Open Wheel 600 Series have announced an update to safety rules under the series sanctioning banner.

Effective immediately if a drivers seat belts come disconnected, they will be sent to the work area to get them refastened.

Track and series officials will not be allowed to help rescuing safety belts. They will immediately send you to the work area.

If belts come unfastened, the driver must stop at the head infield official to notify them that belts have come unfastened. The head infield official will relay the message to the competition director and pit steward so that driver will receive 45 seconds in the designated work area to refasten. NO other adjustments will be allowed in the work area during a refasten. Time will start once the car reaches the work area. If a team attempts to work on the car other than seat belts they will be DQ’d from that event.

Amendment 6/7: Drivers will NOT get their spot back.
