Lucas Oil NOW600 Opening 2022 Season This Weekend In Texas

Bryan Hulbert – GREENVILLE, Texas (February 15, 2022) The first two rounds of the 2022 season with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi-Plains Building Division begins this Friday, February 18, and Saturday, February 19, at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
Set for 36 national events in 2022, this weekend marks the start of the 10th season of competition for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi-Plains Building Division and introduces a new format that utilizes Group Qualifying and Passing Points. Absent from the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi-Plains Building Division lineup in 2021, the series last visited the quarter-mile in February 2020. That weekend saw a high mark of 99 entries between Non-Wing, A-Class, and Restricted drivers. Oklahoma’s Frank Flud swept Stock competition with Restricted split between California’s Jade Avedisian and Missouri’s Garrett Benson.
Friday, February 18 opens at 4:00 P.M and gets underway at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, February 19 going opens at 3:00 P.M. and goes green at 6:00 P.M. (CT). Pit Passes per night are $35 per class. Grandstand tickets are $12 per night, $10 for Youth (7-11) and Seniors (65+), with Kids six and under free.
Along with nighty action with Non-Wing, A-Class, and Restricted, the weekend will also include USRA Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds. Saturday will add Eco Limited.
