Mike Walling Leads Wire-to-Wire with NOW600 Tel-Star Ark-La-Tex Region at Showtime Speedway
MANY, La. (June 15, 2019) - Mike Walling led wire-to-wire in Friday's 15-lap NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Ark-La-Tex Region at Showtime Speedway.
The inaugural event under the sanctioning of the National Open Wheel 600 Series saw 14 drivers check in for competition at the Louisiana oval.
Walling who earned the pole of the feature event would jump out to the race lead and not look back claiming the feature event win. Dustin Maxwell finished in the runner up spot after starting fourth. Scott Fridley rounded out the podium. Matt Ebarb took the fourth spot with Kamirin Cook bringing up the top five after starting seventh.
Mark Snellgrove was sixth. Bryan Doyle crossed in seventh. Chelby Hinton took the eighth spot with twelfth starting, Kinsley Cook ninth. The top ten rounded out with Kendyl Guillot.
Walling an Fridley picked up the nights two 8-lap heat race victories.
The NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Ark-La-Tex Region returns to action on Friday, June 28 at Showtime Speedway in Many, Louisiana followed by the inaugural appearance at 105 Speedway in Cleveland, Texas on Saturday, June 29.
